Making sense

 

Things are not always shiny and easy. Whether we are struggling in our personal lives or at work, they are almost impossible to separate. ​​​​

Trauma, grief and loss are real and despite what popular culture might suggest, it's not negative or depressing to care. ​​​​​​

Coaching provides a safe place to land in a world where the norm is to keep pushing and avoiding our emotions.

A place to get comfortable with the messy bits without drowning in them. Where you are supported to explore your feelings and your story so you can make peace with it and move forward.

Entering into a coaching relationship with another person is precious. We step into a space of possibility and trust as they give voice to their deepest hopes and dreams.

When we share the things we keep inside, we are vulnerable. And when we dare to dream of more. 

 

I create the space where, step by step, you can go to those tender places. I guide you gently and responsibly with safety, consent and compassion.​ 

 

Make no mistake - gentle does not mean weak or passive. Gentle can be loving and gentle can be fierce. I am fiercely supportive of you and your next steps.

To hold these spaces in the modern world is emergent work. ​I've trained with some of the leading teachers in the world. And I am committed to finding ways to help us survive this modern world as we build the next.

Because we cannot do this alone.

How does it work?

 

How long is a session?

Individual coaching sessions are one hour. Longer sessions are available on request.

How often are the sessions?

This is up to you. Many people have a session every 2 weeks, more often if they need it. Less often is also possible.

How many sessions do I need?

As many as you want. Most people sign up for a series of sessions, often 10 or 12. For some people, the coaching journey goes on for years and for others, it can be a few weeks around a particular question.​

Where do we meet?

In-person sessions are available at PEOPLE PLANET PLACE in Brussels, in Bertem (near Leuven) or in the woods. For more on outdoor coaching, see the Ecotherapy page.

Can we meet online?

Absolutely, many clients find coaching on Zoom works really well, wherever they are in the world. 

How much is a 1-hour session?
Prices are on a sliding scale. If you're not sure which one applies, please ask. 

– Individuals: €150.

– Self-employed: €200.

– NGO's: €220.

– Start-ups: €250.

– Corporates/large organisations: €300.

Rates include VAT and invoices are provided.​

Is coaching only for eco-anxiety or trauma?

No, you don't have to have trauma or eco-anxiety to work with me. If there's something you want to work on and you think I could help, let's talk.

Can I get my employer to pay?

Many people who come for coaching are sponsored by their employer. The cost may be covered by the training budget or a specific coaching or wellbeing budget. It's worth asking to see what's possible.

Is trauma-informed coaching the same as therapy?

No, coaching is not therapy and I'm not a therapist or a psychologist. Coaching helps you get clear and move forward in your life. As a trauma-informed coach, I can help you look at the past in a way that serves your future. But it's not therapy.

Are sessions confidential? What if my employer pays?

​Coaching sessions are confidential no matter who pays. There is no reporting back to whoever pays the bill.​​

What about group coaching and team coaching?

Absolutely, please see the Teams page.

Do we need to have the same social or cultural identity?

Not at all, you are welcome if you feel my approach can help. Gaining a deeper understanding of our identities may be part of the coaching process.
