Nature & Creativity Day in Bertem

A beautiful day of nature connection and creativity in the rural village of Bertem, just outside Brussels (near Leuven). The workshop will take place inside an old coach house and outside in the walled garden which has shady trees and a stream running through it.  It is a beautiful, peaceful location.

Kathryn will guide you through some beautiful nature and creativity practices, including making your own living journal, making nature art with found objects and other reflective expressive arts practices, with guided nature practices and time to enjoy slowing down in nature.

How to get here

The event is taking place in the Wagenhuys of the Bertem Pastorij, Vossenstraat 4, 3060 Bertem. 

If you are coming by car, there is parking in the street and opposite or in the Dorpsplein. To come from Brussels/Tervuren by bus, take a De Lijn bus going in the direction of Leuven station and get off on the Brusselsesteenweg in Bertem near the town hall (Gemeentehuis). From Leuven, it would be a bus in the direction of Brussels. Walking down to the Pastorij from the Brusselsesteenweg takes about 10 minutes. If you need help figuring it out or if walking is an issue, let us know. You can also take the S2 train to Veltem but that's a longer walk or we will do our best to arrange a pick-up at the station.

What to bring

Bring your packed lunch (not something that needs to be heated) and your water bottle or coffee/tea mug. Bring something to sit on outside like a picnic blanket, yoga mat, small groundsheet or cushion. If you don't have anything to sit on, don't worrry. We will have chairs and a few picnic blankets. We will provide tea and water. Please take care of protecting yourself from the sun or the rain, depending on the weather. We will bring bug spray in case we need it.
