About the Event
Finding ways to address our climate grief and eco-anxiety in community.
We've created a relaxing, community event which includes learning a simple way to preserve seasonal vegetables, sitting together for a quiet, nourishing meal and sharing how you're doing in relation to the many environmental challenges we face today.
The sharing space will be held by Kathryn Sheridan, trauma-informed coach and ecotherapist and Curator at PEOPLE PLANET PLACE. It will include both grief and gratitude. Being able to share and be witnessed by others helps us process difficult emotions like grief and fear and creates space for something new to emerge.
Kathryn is trained in Ecopsychology and Ecotherapy. Her influences include the Plum Village practice of Interbeing and the work of Joanna Macy, among others.
The meal starts with centering, gratitude and some moments of mindful eating to allow us to enter the sharing space as a community.
Learn to make a fresh pickle then enjoy a simple, vegan meal around the table with space to share our climate grief and our gratitude.
Your ticket includes the pickle-making session, a shared meal of vegan lentil curry, rice and pickles, a non-alcoholic drink and the guided sharing circle.
Please note that this is a trauma-informed environment to the best of our ability but it should not be seen as a replacement for therapy or 1:1 coaching.
