About the Event
To join a Climate Circle is to go to a place where our eco-anxiety and climate distress are heard and often shared by other participants. It is a place designed for sharing what other people don't want to hear - our fears, our worries, our guilt, shame and frustration. The complexity and deep contradictions, the hope and the deep longing for a different world.
Many people struggle with painful feelings around climate and environmental breakdown, as well as social justice and democracy. And yet, we rarely find places to share those feelings. We are told "just relax" or that "you can't do anything about it anyway". Or you're asked "not to bring work home". Too often, we struggle with these deeply painful emotions alone or feel the need to hide them from the people in our lives.
