Botanical printing: Winter edition

It may seem like nature is dormant in winter but as we explore, we will connect with the nature elements that can still be found and use them in our gel printing. Learn how to use a gel plate, acrylic paint and botanical elements to create your own unique artwork.

Dress warmly as if the weather is accommodating, we will start this workshop outdoors in nature connecting to the seasons, reflecting on what winter means to us as we start the new year and harvesting some nature elements. Other nature elements will be provided to use during the workshop.

When we come inside to a roaring wood stove and a hot cup of wild tea, we will be introduced to the printing materials and techniques. From art paper to old maps and books, we can enjoy exploring a range of materials to print on, enriched by our nature treasures.
